There are some amazing, dedicated Landscape and Architectural Photographers around. I am not one of them, nonetheless, I occasionally find myself on a beach, with my camera on my tripod, or examining a building for interesting shapes.
I tend to lean towards minimalist or abstract images.
Here you will find a selection of my favourite landscape and architectural work (click on the image to see the full gallery).
Early in my career, I learnt that personal projects are vital to your growth as a photographer. For my first personal project, I chose landscape as the subject.
My goal was not so much to create amazing individual images, but to explore the changing nature of a place, and present a variety of images that would capture that variety.
I spent six months photographing a 200 metre stretch of coastline, and in that process, took hundreds of images. I eventually selected 60 images, which I put into a book, "The Bruce's Collection". Below, you will find the selection of my absolute favourites.
